Day 2
Here are the teams that are progressing to day 2. You need to be at the Welsh National Pool for 6:30am. I suggest changing into your budgie smugglers beforehand. You will be briefed on the movements and standards and heat order. You will not be able to swim before your WOD. The first WOD starts at 7am.

In a little under a week IT.IS.ON the Again Faster Divided We Fall Games will be upon us! All that hard work, sweat, pain and blood will be worthwhile as you will all be pushed to new levels of performance, see old friends and make some new ones. We feel honoured to have such a huge gathering of awesome people at CrossFit Velocity and hope everyone enjoys their weekend with us!
A few things that will allow us to run things a little smoother:
- Car parking – we have a ton of car parking spaces however as we have “hired” a neighbouring Car Dealers unit to set up the sponsors village he will need a lot of the spaces to park his cars and so we ask that you do not park in any of the coned off areas. The road that surrounds CF Velocity has lay byes and no yellow lines so please make use of this.
- The box will be open for registration from 4pm-9pm on Friday 28th and 7:30am on the Sat until around 8:30am. Each team needs to register confirming team members and sign waivers. One person can register and name the team however EVERY team member must sign the waiver before competing. Goodie bags for each team will be available to collect after 10am Sat from the GearAsRx booth. You will not be able to register after 8:30am as we will start the first WOD at 9am. So we advise getting sorted early.
- If you would like to familiarise yourself with a Watt Bike you need to do so on Friday between 4pm and 9pm as they will be available for you to work out your seat settings etc YOU WILL NOT HAVE TIME TO DO THIS ON SAT but will be briefed on what you can and cannot do in terms of the Watt Bike settings
- Teams that are involved in Heat 1 of the first WOD must be warmed up and ready to roll at 9am. The warm up area/sponsors village will not be available until after 10am so please be prepared to use whatever space is available.

- CaveMan snacks will be selling snackpacks and food and there will also be tea and coffee available and a bar set up for those that need a beer!
- There will be a dedicated 5000 sqft area with a athlete warm up area and “market place” set up with a number of booths selling everything from Inov8‘s to Paleo Snacks. Please bring cash, cards not accepted.
- There will also be the opportunity to get a massage between events for a small charge.
- Tesco’s is about 2 mins away and more importantly Costa Coffee is also part of the same retail park!!
- Dress accordingly – last year it was quite cold and wet (unusual for Wales)
- There will be no charge for spectators on either day but we ask for a voluntary £5 donation to Help For Heroes via Jonny Smut’s Atlantic Challenge (He will be competing and rowing on both days!!)
- We anticipate large numbers of spectators and while we will try our best to offer as much space as possible for spectators we cannot guarantee everyone will fit into the box – for this reason we have provided another 5000sqft space where spectators and athletes can hang out when not involved in the action.
A Few Changes
Day 2
Day 2 of the Again Faster DWF will test the ability of the remaining teams to deal with the unknown and unknowable. WODS will be revealed just before they start the scoreboard will be reset to zero and a “knock out” format will be used. After WOD 5 there will be a cut to 20 teams. After WOD 6 there will be a cut to 10 teams. After WOD 7 there will be a cut to 5 teams. The remaining 5 teams will compete in the WOD 8 “The Final”.
All teams that progress to Day 2 should ensure they bring something that they are comfortable swimming in…………..
